Sunday Morning

This morning, a beautiful morning it was, I was having a war with the angels on my shoulders about whether I should go to church or not - an every sunday war. While this war was clammering in my head/heart, a vision of beauty drove past me, a black convertible E 350 Class Merc. WOW!!!! I thought.
But what made it even more BEAUTIFUL was the person driving. A BLACK, Umagogo (as she called herself) the same age as my mother, with silver/black hair in cornrows and wearing a colourful scarf. What pride, what honour, such INSPIRATION!!!!! By luck we were heading the same way and I got to enjoy the vision. After greeting her and complimenting her on the beauty she was driving, there was great shy laughter from her side followed by a comment "My son is naughty, he bought it for me" - I marvelled at such joy, such love from a son and I felt proud to belong to such a beautiful African black nation.
My war was decided for this week - Thank you GOD for my sermon and message for the week - "Let us love and take care of our parents and our children the best way we know how, cause only good can abound".
